Writer Revolt: Fantastic Four and X-Men characters failed to physically show up (aside from Kang) for what were very likely corporate reasons pertaining to Fox owning the movie rights to the characters at the time of the game's development and release.The late Stan Lee was the only person to return, since while he has done voice work in several video games, he was not a union actor. Almost all of the cast of the game are played by different actors, due to the then-ongoing voice actors strike - the solution was to go across The Pond and employ British actors. Likewise, Tom Clarke Hill reprises Blade from the Blade II video game. Role Reprise: Sacha Dhawan reprises his role as Davos/Steel Serpent from Iron Fist (2017).Despite the deal eventually being finalized less than two years after the game's released, no DLC featuring said characters was released. Then Disney offered to buy out most of Fox's entertainment assets, including the aforementioned franchises, a month after the game released. What makes this particularly jarring is the fact that many of those characters played significant roles in the previous game.
